Community Projects for 2019

In 2019, we did four projects in the Cornell Height’s area of Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. Four projects that made an amazing positive impact on the community. The first project was the creation of a Facebook page, @cornellheightNJbeauty. This page focuses on the beauty seen in Cornell Heights. The editor started the page by taking photos of beautiful things in the neighborhood and post them. They then sponsored a trash clean-up day as well, cleaning up several dozen bags of trash in the Cornell Heights community. In addition, there were two community competitions. The community competitions were focused on decorating the homes in Cornell Heights in the Fall and December

holiday season in 2019. The community rallied and made the area of Cornell Heights simply beautiful during both contests. There were prizes awarded to the residents who had the best decorations in the fall and December holiday season. A total of $550 in prize money was awarded to numerous residents for their outstanding efforts to beautify Cornell Heights with the two competitions. These projects brought the community together and created a hometown feel. It was so needed as the town was aching from a very difficult time with indictments of leadership in town, charges brought up against other leaders and an awful election time. These projects created positivity and brought the community together.
